Daily Bible reading: Matthew 13:31-58, Genesis 49-50
LET BOTH GROW TOGETHER
The parable of the wheat and the weed explained by request of the disciples as it was quite difficult to understand. The Son of Man is he who sows the good seed while the devil is the enemy who sows the weeds! And somehow Jesus said that He would prefer NOT to gather the weeds right now. Just let both of them grow together until the harvest which is the end of the age.
Believers as the sons of the kingdom must be ready to grow together with the sons of the wicked one. God will not pull up the weeds now! We may feel that it is not comfort for us, but let’s believe that this is the most effective way for our growth. Jesus said in His prayer: I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one Jn.17:15. This is the process of sanctifying believers in the truth. This is the opportunity for children of God to spread the salt and light up the light. This is the good time for disciples of Christ to overcome evil with good. And this is the best reminder for the body of Christ to remain united and encourage each other to keep being the wheat and never switch to be the weed!
He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still Rev.22:11. The end times will come quicker than we can think. Let’s be faithful until the end because the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.
BIARKANLAH KEDUANYA TUMBUH BERSAMA
Perumpamaan tentang gandum dan lalang dijelaskan atas permintaan para murid karena hal itu cukup sulit untuk dipahami. Anak Manusia adalah orang yang menaburkan benih baik sementara iblis adalah musuh yang menabur benih lalang! Dan ternyata Yesus berkata bahwa Dia lebih suka untuk TIDAK mencabut lalang sekarang. Biarkanlah keduanya tumbuh bersama sampai waktu menuai yaitu akhir zaman.
Orang beriman sebagai anak-anak kerajaan harus siap untuk tumbuh bersama dengan anak-anak si jahat. Tuhan tidak akan mencabut lalang sekarang! Kita mungkin merasa hal itu tidak nyaman bagi kita, tetapi mari kita percaya bahwa ini adalah cara yang paling efektif untuk pertumbuhan kita. Yesus berkata dalam doa-Nya: Aku tidak meminta, supaya Engkau mengambil mereka dari dunia, tetapi supaya Engkau melindungi mereka dari pada yang jahat Yoh.17:15. Ini adalah proses pengudusan orang percaya dalam kebenaran. Ini adalah kesempatan bagi anak-anak Allah untuk menaburkan garam dan menjadi terang. Ini adalah saat yang tepat bagi murid Kristus untuk mengalahkan kejahatan dengan kebaikan. Dan ini adalah hal terbaik untuk mengingatkan tubuh Kristus supaya tetap bersatu dan mendorong satu sama lain untuk tetap menjadi gandum dan jangan pernah beralih menjadi lalang!
Barangsiapa yang berbuat jahat, biarlah ia terus berbuat jahat; barangsiapa yang cemar, biarlah ia terus cemar; dan barangsiapa yang benar, biarlah ia terus berbuat kebenaran; barangsiapa yang kudus, biarlah ia terus menguduskan dirinya Wah.22:11! Akhir zaman akan datang lebih cepat dari yang kita pikirkan. Mari kita setia sampai akhir karena orang-orang benar akan bercahaya seperti matahari dalam Kerajaan Bapa mereka.
