THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE MYSTERY

Paul explained to the church in Ephesus that his ministry was not only to preach, but also to make everyone understand what is the fellowship of the mystery Eph.3:8-9. Previously, Paul already mentioned about the mystery of His will Eph.1:9 and about the mystery of Christ Eph.3:4, and now Paul encouraged them not only to know about it but also to have a strong fellowship with it.

Building a strong fellowship is not an easy thing to do. Paul wrote: “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Eph.3:14.” All believers should have that same passion: not only to have Christ in the brain, but to let Christ alive in the entire of our life. Christianity is not only about information, but it is also about actions. And it definitely need the power of prayer!

The fellowship with Christ will absolutely require our quality time. Paul said: “That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love Eph.3:17.” The fellowship with Christ will enable us to comprehend what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, even it will fill us with all the fullness of God Eph.3:18-19. Having the fellowship of the mystery will definitely bring our faith stronger from time to time.

PERSEKUTUAN DENGAN RAHASIA ILAHI

Paulus menjelaskan kepada jemaat di Efesus bahwa pelayanannya bukan hanya untuk berkhotbah, melainkan juga untuk membuat semua orang mengerti tentang persekutuan dengan rahasia tersebut Ef.3:8-9. Sebelumnya, Paulus telah menyebutkan tentang rahasia kehendak Allah Ef.1:9 juga tentang rahasia Kristus Ef.3:4, dan sekarang Paulus mendorong mereka tidak hanya mengetahuinya tetapi juga untuk memiliki persekutuan yang kuat dengan hal itu.

Membangun persekutuan yang kuat bukanlah hal yang mudah untuk dilakukan. Paulus menulis, “Itulah sebabnya aku sujud kepada Bapa, Tuhan kita Yesus Kristus Ef.3:14.” Semua orang percaya harus memiliki kerinduan yang sama: bukan hanya memiliki Kristus di dalam otak, melainkan mengizinkan Kristus hidup dalam seluruh segi hidup kita. Kekristenan bukan hanya tentang informasi, tetapi juga tentang aksi. Dan hal itu mutlak membutuhkan kekuatan doa!

Persekutuan dengan Kristus memerlukan waktu kita yang berkualitas. Paulus berkata, “Sehingga oleh imanmu Kristus diam di dalam hatimu dan kamu berakar serta berdasar di dalam kasih Ef.3:17.” Persekutuan dengan Kristus akan memampukan kita untuk memahami, betapa lebarnya dan panjangnya dan tingginya dan dalamnya kasih Kristus, dan dapat mengenal kasih itu, sekalipun ia melampaui segala pengetahuan, bahkan akan memenuhkan kita dalam seluruh kepenuhan Allah Ef.3:18-19. Memiliki persekutuan dengan rahasia Allah pasti akan membawa iman kita lebih kuat dari waktu ke waktu.
