Daily Bible Reading: Ephesians 4, Job 34-35

FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY

As we are waiting for the latter rain of the Holy Spirit and the perfection of the church, we must pray for the five-fold ministry to be happen within His church. Paul explained: “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ Eph.4:11-12.”

God promised to equip His church with the complete set of ministries. The believers must be ready to be rebuked by the prophets; be passionate to be taught by the teachers; to willingly obey the pastors; to joyfully support the evangelist; and to fervently work together with the apostles. Five-fold ministry will definitely make the church keep moving forward effectively and so dynamic, so that the body of Christ will grow strongly into perfection.

The goal of that five-fold ministry is clear, to bring all believers to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ Eph.4:13. God can use anyone within His church to fulfil that needs of ministry. Let’s be humble and be ready to be involved in His grand plan for the church.

PELAYANAN LIPAT LIMA

Selagi kita menantikan hujan akhir Roh Kudus dan pertumbuhan gereja menuju kesempurnaan, kita harus berdoa agar pelayanan lipat lima terjadi di dalam gereja-Nya. Paulus menjelaskan: “Dan Ialah yang memberikan baik rasul-rasul maupun nabi-nabi, baik pemberita-pemberita Injil maupun gembala-gembala dan pengajar-pengajar, untuk memperlengkapi orang-orang kudus bagi pekerjaan pelayanan, bagi pembangunan tubuh Kristus Ef.4:11-12.”

Allah berjanji untuk memperlengkapi gereja-Nya dengan pelayanan yang komplet. Orang-orang percaya harus siap untuk ditegur oleh para nabi; bersemangat untuk diajar oleh para guru; menaati para gembala dengan kerelaan hati; mendukung para penginjil dengan senang hati; dan bekerja bersama para rasul dengan penuh gairah. Pelayanan lipat lima pasti akan membuat gereja terus bergerak maju secara efektif dan dinamis, sehingga tubuh Kristus akan tumbuh dengan kuat menuju kesempurnaan.

Tujuan dari pelayanan lipat lima adalah jelas, sampai semua orang beriman mencapai kesatuan iman dan pengetahuan yang benar tentang Anak Allah, kedewasaan penuh, dan tingkat pertumbuhan yang sesuai dengan kepenuhan Kristus Ef.4:13. Allah dapat memakai siapa pun dalam gereja-Nya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelayanan tersebut. Mari kita rendah hati dan bersiap sedia untuk dilibatkan dalam rencana-Nya yang agung bagi gereja.
