THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
In the days of the early church, Cornelius was a landmark for the movement of the Holy Spirit. What happened to Cornelius had made Peter and other disciples became astonished as they saw and heard how the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also Ac.10:45. The Holy Spirit brought a big breakthrough for the mindset of the apostles and the disciples that the salvation also given to the whole world!
The gift of the Holy Spirit is something very important for the growth of believers and also for the church! This is the main difference between the work of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. The Holy Spirit will make believers to speak with tongues and magnify God, just like what happened with Cornelius and his household Ac.10:46. The baptism of the Holy Spirit will always give an obvious sign, something that people can hear and see Ac.2:33; 10:45-46!
The gift of the Holy Spirit is not only a history but that is a continuous promise! It will be given to as many believers who have a desire and passion to be filled and baptized with the Holy Spirit. Speaking with tongues is not only a history but that is a continuous sign for those who are baptized in the Holy Spirit. This is the gift that will really make people astonished!
KARUNIA ROH KUDUS
Pada zaman gereja mula-mula, Kornelius adalah suatu tonggak bagi pergerakan Roh Kudus. Apa yang terjadi pada Kornelius telah membuat Petrus dan murid-murid lainnya tercengang-cengang ketika mereka melihat dan mendengar bagaimana karunia Roh Kudus telah dicurahkan kepada bangsa-bangsa lain juga Kis.10:45. Roh Kudus membawa terobosan besar bagi pola pikir para rasul dan para murid bahwa keselamatan juga diberikan kepada seluruh dunia!
Karunia Roh Kudus adalah sesuatu yang sangat penting bagi pertumbuhan orang percaya dan juga bagi gereja! Ini adalah perbedaan utama antara pekerjaan Roh Kudus dalam Perjanjian Lama dan dalam Perjanjian Baru. Roh Kudus akan membuat orang-orang percaya berbicara dengan bahasa roh dan memuliakan Allah, sama seperti apa yang terjadi dengan Kornelius dan keluarganya Kis.10:46. Baptisan Roh Kudus akan selalu memberikan tanda yang jelas, sesuatu yang dapat didengar dan dilihat oleh orang Kis.2:33; 10: 45-46!
Karunia Roh Kudus bukan hanya sejarah melainkan hal itu adalah suatu janji yang berkelanjutan! Hal itu akan diberikan pada seberapa banyak orang percaya yang memiliki keinginan dan gairah untuk dipenuhi dan dibaptis dengan Roh Kudus. Berbicara dengan bahasa roh bukan hanya sejarah melainkan hal itu adalah suatu tanda yang berkelanjutan bagi mereka yang dibaptis dalam Roh Kudus. Ini adalah hadiah yang benar-benar akan membuat orang tercengang-cengang!
