Daily Bible Reading: Mark 2, 2Chronicles 10-12
THE FAITHFUL FIVE
Faith in Jesus is the way to miracle! There was something miraculously happened in Capernaum, Jesus healed a paralytic. “Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven you Mrk.2:3-5.’”
Jesus was not only seeing one faith, but He saw five faiths in five faithful men. Because of their situations, they could not arrive early at the house where Jesus was. The house was already full, not even near the door, but faith always finds its way! Their faith were working together, supporting each other, encouraging each other, and strengthening each other.
The faith between husband and wife must work together. The faith between parents and kids must work together. The faith between believers in the local church must work together. Jesus is looking for faiths that work together. The true faith in Jesus must work together between fellow faithful because Jesus is the head and we are the body of Christ.
5 ORANG YANG PENUH IMAN
Iman di dalam Yesus adalah jalan menuju mujizat! Ada sesuatu yang ajaib terjadi di Kapernaum, Yesus menyembuhkan orang lumpuh. “Ada orang-orang datang membawa kepada-Nya seorang lumpuh, digotong oleh empat orang. Tetapi mereka tidak dapat membawanya kepada-Nya karena orang banyak itu, lalu mereka membuka atap yang di atas-Nya; sesudah terbuka mereka menurunkan tilam, tempat orang lumpuh itu terbaring. Ketika Yesus melihat iman mereka, berkatalah Ia kepada orang lumpuh itu: ‘Hai anak-Ku, dosamu sudah diampuni! Mrk.2:3-5!’”
Yesus bukan hanya melihat satu iman, melainkan Dia melihat lima iman di dalam diri lima orang yang penuh iman. Karena situasi yang ada, mereka tidak dapat tiba lebih awal di rumah di mana Yesus berada. Rumah itu sudah penuh, bahkan di muka pintu pun tidak ada tempat, tetapi iman selalu menemukan jalan! Iman mereka bekerja bersama, saling mendukung, saling memberi semangat, dan saling menguatkan satu sama lain.
Iman antara suami dan istri harus bekerja sama. Iman antara orang tua dan anak-anak harus bekerja bersama. Iman di antara orang-orang percaya dalam gereja lokal harus bekerja bersama. Yesus mencari iman yang bekerja bersama. Iman yang sejati pada Yesus harus dapat bekerja bersama dengan sesama orang beriman karena Yesus adalah kepala dan kita adalah tubuh Kristus.
