Daily Bible Reading: James 5, Isaiah 53-55

THE PRECIOUS FRUIT

The second coming of Jesus Christ is not an empty promise. It is real, and believers must be patient as we are now waiting for it. It is totally worth waiting just like the farmers wait for the precious fruit from their field. James wrote: “Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand Jam.5:7-8.”

Jesus is looking for a precious fruit from His bride. He is not looking for leaves, He is looking for fruits Mrk.11:13. That precious fruits definitely need the early rain and the latter rain! God promised to give the early rain and the latter rain, that His people may gather in their grain, their new wine, and their oil Deut.11:14. The church also need to receive the early rain and the latter rain spiritually so that His church can bring out that precious fruit.

The early rain is everything that had happened in the book of Acts so that the church commenced. Now we must pray and ask for the latter rain so that the church can grow into its perfection. The Bible said: “Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone Zech.10:1.” The Holy Spirit will work massively in the latter rain, more than all that had happened in the early rain. Let us be ready for that biggest work of the Holy Spirit in the history so that God can find the precious fruit of the earth.

BUAH YANG BERHARGA

Kedatangan Yesus Kristus yang kedua bukanlah janji kosong. Itu nyata, dan orang percaya harus bersabar menantinya. Hal itu benar-benar layak untuk dinanti seperti para petani yang menantikan buah yang berharga dari ladang mereka. Yakobus menulis: “Karena itu, saudara-saudara, bersabarlah sampai kepada kedatangan Tuhan! Sesungguhnya petani menantikan hasil yang berharga dari tanahnya dan ia sabar sampai telah turun hujan musim gugur dan hujan musim semi. Kamu juga harus bersabar dan harus meneguhkan hatimu, karena kedatangan Tuhan sudah dekat Yak.5:7-8!”

Yesus sedang mencari buah yang berharga dari pengantin perempuan-Nya. Dia tidak mencari daun, Dia mencari buah Mrk.11:13. Buah-buah yang berharga itu mutlak memerlukan hujan awal dan hujan akhir! Allah berjanji untuk memberikan hujan awal dan hujan akhir, sehingga umat-Nya dapat mengumpulkan gandum, anggur dan minyak mereka Ulg.11:14. Gereja juga perlu menerima hujan awal dan hujan akhir secara rohani agar gereja-Nya dapat menghasilkan buah yang berharga itu.

Hujan awal adalah segala sesuatu yang telah terjadi dalam kitab Kisah Para Rasul sehingga gereja dimulai. Sekarang kita harus berdoa dan meminta hujan akhir agar gereja dapat bertumbuh menjadi sempurna. Alkitab berkata, “Mintalah hujan dari pada TUHAN pada akhir musim semi! Tuhanlah yang membuat awan-awan pembawa hujan deras, dan hujan lebat akan Diberikannya kepada mereka dan tumbuh-tumbuhan di padang kepada setiap orang Zak.10:1.” Roh Kudus akan bekerja secara besar-besaran dalam hujan akhir, lebih daripada semua yang telah terjadi dalam hujan awal. Marilah kita bersiap-siap untuk pekerjaan terbesar Roh Kudus sepanjang sejarah supaya Allah mendapatkan buah yang berharga dari bumi ini.
