Daily Bible Reading: Luke 23:26-56, Ecclesiastes 10-12

MOVE TO PARADISE TODAY!

Life can be changed totally when people come to Jesus. There were 2 criminals who been hanged next to Jesus. One criminal blasphemed Jesus while the other came into repentance. The repented criminals explained to his friend how they received the due reward of their deeds; but Jesus had done nothing wrong. Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise Luk.23:41-43.”

The true repentance is the key to let Jesus changes our life completely. That repented criminals showed 3 important factors of repentance. He acknowledged all his sins and he admitted himself as a sinful man. He admitted Jesus as the son of God who had done nothing wrong. And he asked Jesus to reign as the Saviour in his life. That true repentance really worked so that Jesus declared the salvation for him. He was moved to the paradise at the same day!

Even though physically he died upon the cross as the criminal as the result for his sins, but spiritually he had been saved and his spirit be with Jesus in Paradise! Just like what Paul wrote: “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins Col.1:13-14.” Praise God for that amazing grace that had redeemed us and had moved us into the marvellous light1Pet.2:9.

PINDAH KE FIRDAUS HARI INI!

Kehidupan dapat berubah total ketika seorang datang pada Yesus. Ada 2 penjahat yang digantung di samping Yesus. Seorang penjahat menghujat Yesus sementara yang lainnya bertobat. Penjahat yang bertobat menjelaskan kepada temannya bahwa mereka memang selayaknya dihukum, sebab mereka menerima balasan yang setimpal dengan perbuatannya, tetapi Yesus tidak berbuat sesuatu yang salah. Lalu dia berkata pada Yesus: “Yesus, ingatlah akan aku, apabila Engkau datang sebagai Raja.” Kata Yesus kepadanya: “Aku berkata kepadamu, sesungguhnya hari ini juga engkau akan ada bersama-sama dengan Aku di dalam Firdaus Luk.23:41-43.”

Pertobatan yang sejati adalah kunci untuk mengizinkan Yesus mengubah hidup kita seluruhnya. Penjahat yang telah bertobat itu menunjukkan 3 faktor penting dari pertobatan. Dia mengakui semua dosanya dan dia mengakui dirinya sebagai orang yang berdosa. Dia mengakui Yesus sebagai putra Allah yang tidak berdosa. Dan dia meminta Yesus untuk memerintah sebagai Juru Selamat dalam hidupnya. Pertobatan sejati itu benar-benar mengerjakan sesuatu dalam hidupnya sehingga Yesus menyatakan keselamatan baginya. Dia dipindahkan ke surga pada hari yang sama!

Meskipun secara fisik dia mati di atas salib sebagai penjahat akibat dosa-dosanya, namun secara rohani dia telah diselamatkan dan rohnya ada bersama-sama dengan Yesus di Firdaus! Hal ini sejalan dengan apa yang Paulus tulis: “Ia telah melepaskan kita dari kuasa kegelapan dan memindahkan kita ke dalam Kerajaan Anak-Nya yang kekasih; di dalam Dia kita memiliki penebusan kita, yaitu pengampunan dosa Kol.1:13-14.” Terpujilah Tuhan atas kasih karunia yang luar biasa yang telah menebus kita dan telah memindahkan kita ke dalam terang yang ajaib 1Pet.2:9.
